Yrjönkatu swimming hall

Yrjönkatu Swimming Hall is an impressive example of 1920s classicism and it is an important building historically as well as architecturally. Over the decades the hall has retained its original appearance. For decades it was the only public indoor pool in Finland. There are separate times for women and men. Customers may swim with or without a bathing suit.

Arabia center and factory outlets

Fiskars Group offers a wide range of consumer products for the kitchen, the table, and the home. It is the market leader in its field in the Nordic region, with a number of prestigious brands in its portfolio, such as Iittala, Arabia, Hackman and Fiskars. They have a factory outlet at Arabia.

Moomin shops

The Moomins are the central characters in a series of books and a comic strip by Swedish-Finn illustrator and writer Tove Jansson. There's one Moomin shop at the airport and second one at the Forum shopping center.

Stockmann

Stockmann store in the centre of Helsinki is the largest department store in the Nordic countries. It's a bit more expensive than avarage department store, but the quality and range of products is also better.

Game stores Fantasiapelit, Lautapelit.fi and Pelikauppa

Want to buy a role-play, or a boardgame. These are our three biggest shops. Fantasiapelit sells roleplaying books, some latex weapons, miniature games, boardgames and anime. Pelikauppa sells boardgames, Warhammer merchandise fantasy- and roleplaying books, and large amounts of second hand games. Lautapelit.fi is our biggest boardgame publisher. They have a great selection of both family games and strategy games. You won't find monopoly there.

Iron Sky

A movie about moon nazis coming back from the Dark Side of the Moon where they've secretly constructed a gigantic space fortress during the last 70 years they've been there. Premiers 4.4. in theaters. Understandable only if you either understand German or are able to read Swedish subtitles!

Varusteleka

Varusteleka is an army and outdoor products store located in Finland. It's known from its detailed descriptions of the items on its online shop. What does this Varusteleka mean? Equipmentsledgehammer of course.

Suvilahti

Suvilahti is a new urban culture center in Sörnainen, featuring such exotics as the Performance Center (home to Reality Research Center and Other Spaces); a legal Graffiti Wall, Graffiti Gallery & spray can store MAKE YOUR MARK; Mike Pohjola's workspace (and Pohjola-film).
